Code, Health - General § 13–311","heading":"","body":"(a) The Department shall certify an individual as eligible for benefits under the Program if the Department determines that:\n(1) The individual has chronic kidney disease as defined in the Commission’s regulations; and\n(2) The individual meets the residency, citizenship, and other nonmedical eligibility requirements established by the Department.\n(b) (1) The certification of an individual under this section shall be for a period of 1 year.\n(2) The certification is renewable after each 1-year period if the individual meets the requirements of subsection (a) of this section.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=13-311","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"f52afbcd60e10f56c1eaca510f91f7205527f0722f1b79c5a13ff6a496606fab","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-13-310.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-13-312"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
