Code, Health - General § 13–7A–04","heading":"","body":"(a) To qualify for a certificate, an applicant shall:\n(1) Be employed by a participating facility;\n(2) Successfully complete, at the expense of the participating facility, an educational training program approved by the Department under § 13–7A–03 of this subtitle;\n(3) Submit an application to the Department in a manner required by the Department under § 13–7A–03 of this subtitle; and\n(4) Subject to subsection (b) of this section, pay to the Department an application fee required under § 13–7A–03 of this subtitle.\n(b) (1) A participating facility may pay the application fee on behalf of the applicant.\n(2) If the participating facility is a food service facility that is part of an eligible institution, either entity may pay the application fee on behalf of the applicant.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=13-7A-04","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"bf73c1ff14fb7261c2d94cec0525b791e67b0ee25b8f4d6fd9a5579791d361c0","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-13-7a-03","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-13-7a-05"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
