Code, Health - General § 14–205","heading":"","body":"(a) The Maryland Department of Health may use funds appropriated for the day care for the elderly to:\n(1) Assist in start–up costs of establishing a day care center for the elderly; and\n(2) Subsidize day care services for financially eligible elderly individuals.\n(b) The services that are provided by the day care center for the elderly under this section shall include:\n(1) Therapeutic arts and crafts;\n(2) Community excursions, if appropriate;\n(3) Hobby cultivation;\n(4) Health services;\n(5) Counseling services for elderly individuals and their families;\n(6) Group dynamics; and\n(7) Other services that enhance social functioning and develop activities in daily living and personal independence.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=14-205","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"fb5a3cb7da0c8d9de72706d95f3a7f057fb1cf0714b9ca3281cbd80316d0a161","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-14-204","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-14-206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
