Code, Health - General § 17–303","heading":"","body":"(a) The Secretary shall adopt rules and regulations that set qualifications for directors of tissue banks.\n(b) The rules and regulations shall require that a tissue bank in this State employ or retain under contract:\n(1) A technical director, qualified by training and experience for the scope of activities being pursued, who will oversee and be responsible for all technical aspects of the tissue bank’s operations; and\n(2) A medical director who will be a physician licensed to practice medicine in this State and who will be responsible for all medical aspects of the tissue bank’s operations, unless the technical director qualifies as a medical director under this section.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=17-303","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"e58c9f3d6950b925c6720672a686a40e883a7be2f9321d1f8616a1ba657fda22","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-17-302","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-17-305"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
