Code, Health - General § 17–501","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Cholesterol testing” includes collecting a test specimen, testing to detect the amount of cholesterol in an individual’s blood, and the reporting of test results.\n(c) “Permit” means a permit issued by the Secretary to a person who:\n(1) Offers to provide, with or without charge, a test to detect the amount of cholesterol in an individual’s blood; and\n(2) Conducts the test outside a permanently located medical laboratory issued a permit or excepted from a permit under Subtitle 2 of this title.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=17-501","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"e70da0319dbbbb7b9ce979f4d139533c6bcc4aa4a5f0f08d6b3b00e45838050b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-17-314","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-17-502"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
