Code, Health - General § 18–901","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Catastrophic health emergency” has the meaning stated in § 14-3A-01 of the Public Safety Article.\n(c) “Deadly agent” has the meaning stated in § 14-3A-01 of the Public Safety Article.\n(d) “Exposure to a deadly agent” has the meaning stated in § 14-3A-01 of the Public Safety Article.\n(e) “Health care facility” has the meaning stated in § 19–114(d)(1) of this article.\n(f) (1) “Health care practitioner” has the meaning stated in § 19–114(e) of this article.\n(2) “Health care practitioner” includes an individual licensed or certified as an emergency medical services provider under § 13–516 of the Education Article.\n(g) “Health care provider” means:\n(1) A health care facility; or\n(2) A health care practitioner.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=18-901","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"b2a6f9bfd59d7356cb934aac3ea9392c61ad9c6d067d982b91b96189f03b11e7","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-18-802","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-18-902"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
