Code, Health - General § 19–1906","heading":"","body":"(a) If the adult dependent care program requests a private agency background check:\n(1) The private agency shall issue a statement of its findings to:\n(i) On request, the eligible employee; and\n(ii) The adult dependent care program; and\n(2) The eligible employee shall have an opportunity to contest the findings.\n(b) The adult dependent care program shall comply with the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act that includes the issuance of a statement by the program of its findings to an eligible employee when adverse information is obtained that precludes the hiring of that employee.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=19-1906","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"e77fa70486a74f823873f235a0acfab987ae65aa43105188e4e454056d70e587","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-19-1905","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-19-1907"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
