Code, Health - General § 19–308.4","heading":"","body":"(a) Each hospital or nursing facility in the State shall ensure that its employees and any other individuals who provide a health care service within or on the premises of the hospital or nursing facility wear a personal identification tag, except where inappropriate for medical reasons, that indicates in readable text:\n(1) The first name, nickname, last name, or full name of the individual that is commonly used in the hospital or nursing facility; and\n(2) The professional or other title of the individual.\n(b) The Secretary may impose a fine not to exceed $25 per violation of this section.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=19-308.4","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"b4e7b7ed75a759a93043a009549d285420aeefc70c9547c134c7d7b6d9188c0a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-19-308.3","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-19-308.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
