Code, Health - General § 19–3A–08","heading":"","body":"(a) This section applies to all payors subject to the rate–setting authority of the Health Services Cost Review Commission, including:\n(1) Insurers, nonprofit health service plans, and health maintenance organizations that deliver or issue for delivery individual, group, or blanket health insurance policies and contracts in the State;\n(2) Managed care organizations, as defined in § 15–101 of this article; and\n(3) The Maryland Medical Assistance Program established under Title 15, Subtitle 1 of this article.\n(b) A payor subject to this section shall pay rates set by the Health Services Cost Review Commission under Subtitle 2 of this title for hospital services provided at:\n(1) A freestanding medical facility pilot project authorized under this subtitle prior to January 1, 2008; and\n(2) A freestanding medical facility licensed under § 19–3A–03 of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=19-3A-08","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"f8f57e5f7d8f7788d85a48e0e16d6cd1512d34f7d111e4349dac59c60da0883d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-19-3a-07","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-19-3b-01"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
