Code, Health - General § 21–241","heading":"","body":"(a) Unless a written protest is filed with the Secretary, a State adopted federal rule or regulation takes effect in this State on the date that it becomes effective as a federal rule or regulation.\n(b) Any person who may be affected adversely by a State adopted federal rule or regulation may:\n(1) File a protest against the federal rule or regulation not more than 30 days after its effective date; and\n(2) Request a hearing.\n(c) A protest under this section stays the effect of the State adopted federal rule or regulation as a rule or regulation of this State.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=21-241","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"66c7cfdb48a48681f7322df150ae01b349a6b334ac6140375de050b57ae0d5c8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-21-240","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-21-242"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
