Code, Health - General § 21–2D–02","heading":"","body":"(a) A retailer may not distribute, sell, expose for sale, or advertise for sale a tianeptine product to an individual.\n(b) A retailer that violates subsection (a) of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $5,000, imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or both.\n(c) In addition to any other penalties under this section, a retailer who violates this section is liable for civil damages sustained by the individual resulting from the violation.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=21-2D-02","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"8047ac601ac00c080b5672ab72cfb2a9d942c36072b49a7df8b4e9b413d286bd","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-21-2d-01","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-21-2d-03"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
