Code, Health - General § 21–322","heading":"","body":"(a) The Maryland Department of Health and the State Department of Agriculture may:\n(1) Inspect for wholesomeness any food donated to a nonprofit corporation, organization, or association; and\n(2) Establish procedures for handling food donated to any nonprofit corporation, organization, or association.\n(b) (1) In this subsection, “person” shall include a nonprofit corporation, organization, or association.\n(2) A person shall have the immunity from liability described under § 5–634 of the Courts Article for any act or omission that affects the nature, age, condition, or packaging of the donated food.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=21-322","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"910d5883b08e5312c8af14c04215d49a3d6884ddb99183847ece405849447105","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-21-321","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-21-323"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
