Code, Health - General § 21–801","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Frozen dessert” means:\n(1) Ice cream and frozen custard;\n(2) Ice milk;\n(3) Mellorine;\n(4) Sherbet;\n(5) Water ice;\n(6) Goat milk ice cream and goat milk frozen custard;\n(7) Goat milk ice milk;\n(8) Quiescently frozen confection;\n(9) Quiescently frozen dairy confection; or\n(10) (i) Any frozen food product that is similar in appearance, odor, or taste to any of the products listed in this subsection;\n(ii) Any frozen food product that is prepared or frozen in the same way as any of the products listed in this subsection; or\n(iii) The mix that is used in any of the products listed in this subsection.\n(c) “License” means a license issued by the Secretary to manufacture in this State a frozen dessert or a mix for a frozen dessert.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=21-801","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"196627b784b1c9e66d25f5f8e075e11f352db326db66d8e9bee16e4fc3563297","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-21-436","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-21-802"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
