Code, Health - General § 5–303","heading":"","body":"(a) There is a Postmortem Examiners Advisory Committee.\n(b) The Committee consists of the following members:\n(1) The Baltimore City Commissioner of Health;\n(2) The head of the Pathology Department of the University of Maryland School of Medicine;\n(3) The head of the Pathology Department of Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine;\n(4) The Secretary of State Police;\n(5) A representative of the Department, chosen by the Secretary; and\n(6) Any other individual appointed by the Secretary, in consultation with the Office.\n(c) From among the Committee members, the Secretary shall appoint a chair.\n(d) The Committee shall advise the Secretary and the Office on:\n(1) The implementation of this subtitle; and\n(2) Carrying out the Office’s duties.","path":["Article - Health - General"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghg\u0026section=5-303","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:48Z","sha256":"24a2ed3a0757aa91bded7e31f3f67a8d0b555137d7e96a927ffc4ca70005fac2","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-5-302","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-general-5-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
