Code, Health Occupations § 11–205","heading":"","body":"(a) In addition to the powers set forth elsewhere in this title, the Board has the following powers:\n(1) Each member of the Board may administer oaths and take affidavits for any matter under the jurisdiction of the Board; and\n(2) The Board may adopt rules and regulations to carry out the provisions of this title.\n(b) In addition to the duties set forth elsewhere in this title, the Board shall:\n(1) Keep a current list showing all:\n(i) Licensed optometrists;\n(ii) Optometrists who are on inactive status;\n(iii) Diagnostically certified optometrists;\n(iv) Therapeutically certified optometrists; and\n(v) Optometrists against whom action has been taken under § 11–313 of this title;\n(2) Keep a full record of its proceedings;\n(3) Adopt an official seal; and\n(4) Investigate an alleged violation of this title.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=11-205","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"11ad4f0d39ecd35fe1e94314bbbb9f537f4fb0d6244de92fcdd2f632a7fccf5b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-11-204","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-11-206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
