Code, Health Occupations § 11–306","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board shall issue a license to any applicant who:\n(1) Meets the requirements of this title;\n(2) Pays to the Board the license fee set by the Board; and\n(3) Submits to a criminal history records check in accordance with § 11–302.1 of this subtitle.\n(b) On receipt of the criminal history record information of an applicant for licensure, in determining whether to grant a license, the Board shall consider:\n(1) The age at which the crime was committed;\n(2) The nature of the crime;\n(3) The circumstances surrounding the crime;\n(4) The length of time that has passed since the crime;\n(5) Subsequent work history;\n(6) Employment and character references; and\n(7) Other evidence that demonstrates whether the applicant poses a threat to public health or safety.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=11-306","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"0f9504a18b9c12f278de363d06fbdb859cf4028dfa793c4c45e433311c379ba1","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-11-305","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-11-307"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
