Code, Health Occupations § 11–504","heading":"","body":"(a) Knowingly selling or dispensing contact lenses or replacement contact lenses without a valid and unexpired prescription or replacement contact lens prescription shall be considered a violation of this title.\n(b) The Board shall investigate any alleged violation of this section or § 11-404.4 of this title and may, notwithstanding § 11-205 of this title:\n(1) Issue subpoenas, administer oaths, and examine witnesses; and\n(2) Enforce any provision of this title by injunction or other appropriate proceedings.\n(c) An action under this section is in addition to and not instead of criminal prosecution under § 11-505 of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=11-504","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"ba06871662f8aa40b39e177230d4e6c7d07f6d00310d01cf833012a4040789d8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-11-502","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-11-505"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
