Code, Health Occupations § 12–604","heading":"","body":"(a) The Secretary, the Board, or the agents of either, during business hours, may:\n(1) Enter any place where drugs, devices, diagnostics, cosmetics, dentifrices, domestic remedies, or toilet articles are manufactured, packaged, stocked, or offered for sale; and\n(2) Inspect the drugs, devices, diagnostics, cosmetics, dentifrices, domestic remedies, and toilet articles there.\n(b) (1) A pharmacy in this State issued a permit by the Board and subject to inspection under subsection (a) of this section shall be inspected annually.\n(2) A nonresident pharmacy:\n(i) Is subject to inspection under subsection (a) of this section by the Secretary, the Board, or the agents of either; and\n(ii) On application for and renewal of a pharmacy permit in this State, shall submit a copy of the most recent inspection report resulting from an inspection conducted by the regulatory or licensing agency of the state in which the nonresident pharmacy is located.\n(c) A person may not hinder an inspection conducted under this section.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=12-604","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"12a673adc6b245c2248ea67956805f0b75922c3bf91b7e519dd6a5aca96f09a3","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-12-603","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-12-605"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
