Code, Health Occupations § 12–6C–11","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) If a person knowingly violates any provision of this subtitle or any regulation adopted under this subtitle, the Board may impose a fine not to exceed $500,000.\n(2) Before the Board imposes a fine, the Board shall consider the appropriateness of the fine in relation to:\n(i) The size of the wholesale distributor;\n(ii) The gravity of the violation for which the fine is to be imposed;\n(iii) The good faith of the wholesale distributor; and\n(iv) Any previous violations by the wholesale distributor.\n(b) In addition to the penalty provided in subsection (a) of this section, the Board also may take disciplinary action against a permit holder who is convicted of or pleads guilty or nolo contendere to a violation of State, federal, or local drug laws.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=12-6C-11","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"b0284283da8cfefe451b2ea88c572c6a16fc8796124bc6e6dc6223fad971549e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-12-6c-10","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-12-6c-12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
