Code, Health Occupations § 13–303","heading":"","body":"(a) If an applicant for a physical therapy license has been educated in physical therapy in any state, the applicant shall have:\n(1) Graduated from a physical therapy program that, in the year of graduation, was:\n(i) Approved by the American Physical Therapy Association; or\n(ii) Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education; and\n(2) Completed satisfactorily the clinical education required by the physical therapy program.\n(b) If an applicant for a physical therapy license has been educated in physical therapy outside of any state, the applicant shall have graduated from a physical therapy program that in the year of graduation had educational requirements equivalent to a degree in physical therapy from a United States program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=13-303","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"2c2b6d601b3d76490280cbed27c23406e70f2cdc0702aa479d86d5ce938bfb08","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-13-302.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-13-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
