Code, Health Occupations § 13–313","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board may issue a temporary license to an applicant who, except for passing an examination otherwise required under this subtitle, has met the appropriate education and experience requirements of this subtitle for a physical therapist license or a physical therapy assistant license under § 13–302 of this subtitle.\n(b) (1) A temporary license issued to an individual who has completed a physical therapy curriculum authorizes the holder to practice physical therapy under direct supervision while the temporary license is effective.\n(2) A temporary license issued to an individual who has completed a physical therapy assistant curriculum authorizes the holder to practice limited physical therapy under direct supervision while the temporary license is effective.\n(c) A temporary license is valid until:\n(1) 90 days after issuance;\n(2) The Board issues a full license to practice physical therapy or limited physical therapy to the holder of the temporary license; or\n(3) The Board revokes the temporary license.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=13-313","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"81e562d92b0dc25e9fbb4d1fa9ae903ac96ca98191e6d86f58496882bd2683cb","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-13-312","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-13-314"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
