Code, Health Occupations § 14–102","heading":"","body":"(a) This title does not limit the right of:\n(1) An individual to practice a health occupation that the individual is authorized to practice under this article; or\n(2) A Christian Science practitioner, who is accredited by the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, from:\n(i) Dealing with human ills in accordance with the tenets of Christian Science; and\n(ii) Charging for services.\n(b) This title does not prohibit a licensed dentist or any other individual authorized to practice dentistry under Title 4 of this article, who has administered anesthesia regularly in hospitals in this State for at least 15 years before June 1, 1962, from practicing anesthesiology or administering anesthesia for medical purposes.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=14-102","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"f4b00a879578a5f92954f5915c5f4667cbfda620d295b48ba7654ff8d737c7cd","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-14-101","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-14-201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
