Code, Health Occupations § 14–205.1","heading":"","body":"On or before October 1 each year, the Board shall submit to the Governor, the Secretary, and, in accordance with § 2–1257 of the State Government Article, the General Assembly an annual report that includes the following data calculated on a fiscal year basis:\n(1) Relevant disciplinary indicators, including:\n(i) The number of new complaints investigated for physicians, allied health practitioners, and unlicensed individuals;\n(ii) The number of complaints that remain open as of June 30 of the immediately preceding fiscal year at the Board and at the Office of the Attorney General;\n(iii) The three most common grounds for complaints;\n(iv) The three most common sources of the complaints received;\n(v) The number and types of disciplinary actions taken by the Board;\n(vi) The total number of cases referred to peer review; and\n(vii) Of the cases referred to peer review:\n1. The number of peer review cases that resulted in total disagreement;\n2. The number of peer review cases that resulted in charges being issued; and\n3. The number of peer review cases that resulted in closure or closure with an advisory letter;\n(2) The number of cases not completed within 18 months by the Board and the reasons for the failure to complete the cases in 18 months; and\n(3) For both physicians and allied health professionals:\n(i) The total number of all licensees;\n(ii) The number of initial, renewal, and reinstatement licenses issued;\n(iii) The number of positive and negative criminal history records checks results received;\n(iv) The number of individuals denied initial or renewal licensure due to positive criminal history records checks results; and\n(v) The number of individuals denied initial, renewal, or reinstatement licensure due to reasons other than a positive criminal history records check.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=14-205.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"c4cd21caa6011ad977352602f1caeb75689fc70ab74bb2c05c6c9b5275df79ee","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-14-205","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-14-205.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
