Code, Health Occupations § 14–5A–23","heading":"","body":"(a) A person who violates § 14–5A–20, § 14–5A–21, or § 14–5A–22 of this subtitle is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $1,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or both.\n(b) A person who violates § 14–5A–20, § 14–5A–21, or § 14–5A–22 of this subtitle is subject to a civil fine of not more than $5,000 to be levied by a disciplinary panel.\n(c) The Board shall pay any penalty collected under this section into the Board of Physicians Fund.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=14-5A-23","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"976b17559b1b55139e7da709de0ef742bd01cacf34bdccd589e3d3d47c92f2ac","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-14-5a-22.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-14-5a-24"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
