Code, Health Occupations § 14–5B–07","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) A licensee may only practice under the supervision of a licensed physician.\n(2) The failure of a licensed physician to properly supervise a licensee is unprofessional conduct in the practice of medicine under § 14–404(a)(3) of this title.\n(b) (1) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this subsection, the practice of a radiation therapist, radiographer, nuclear medicine technologist, or radiologist assistant is limited to those procedures, operations, preparations, and practices listed in regulation.\n(2) A radiologist assistant may not:\n(i) Interpret images;\n(ii) Make diagnoses; or\n(iii) Prescribe medications or therapies.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=14-5B-07","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"9fb23a0cd9cfd5ef8f9e1c528ac1e386493f980000932b6c98be7530bca38af9","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-14-5b-06","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-14-5b-08"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
