Code, Health Occupations § 14–5D–15","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) Except as otherwise provided in § 10–226 of the State Government Article, before the Board or a disciplinary panel takes any action under § 14–5D–14 of this subtitle, the Board or the disciplinary panel shall give the individual against whom the action is contemplated an opportunity for a hearing before a hearing officer.\n(2) The hearing officer shall give notice and hold the hearing in accordance with Title 10, Subtitle 2 of the State Government Article.\n(3) The Board or a disciplinary panel may administer oaths in connection with any proceedings under this section.\n(b) (1) Any person aggrieved by a final decision of the Board or a disciplinary panel under this subtitle may take a direct judicial appeal.\n(2) The appeal shall be made as provided for judicial review of final decisions in the Administrative Procedure Act.\n(c) An order of the Board or a disciplinary panel may not be stayed pending review.\n(d) The Board may appeal from any decision that reverses or modifies an order of the Board or a disciplinary panel.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=14-5D-15","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"fbb072245678cf1dc13b79c15f80df0bc14e584377046139477257f5c67cf181","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-14-5d-14","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-14-5d-16"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
