Code, Health Occupations § 14–5E–09","heading":"","body":"(a) To qualify for a license, an applicant shall be an individual who meets the requirements of this section.\n(b) The applicant shall:\n(1) Be of good moral character;\n(2) Be at least 18 years old; and\n(3) Complete a criminal history records check in accordance with § 14–308.1 of this title.\n(c) An applicant for a license to practice perfusion shall:\n(1) (i) Submit to the Board satisfactory evidence of certification as a certified perfusionist or other national certification approved by the Board; and\n(ii) Meet any other educational or clinical requirements established by the Committee and approved by the Board; or\n(2) (i) Submit to the Board satisfactory evidence of graduation from a perfusion educational program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, or the Commission’s predecessor or successor; and\n(ii) Meet any other educational or clinical requirements established by the Committee and approved by the Board.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=14-5E-09","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"f8ac48bd1280ae53d5a6781cd70e23910e461b63c68e994bd6fb3a269ad22872","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-14-5e-08","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-14-5e-10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
