Code, Health Occupations § 15–403","heading":"","body":"(a) A person who violates § 15–401 or § 15–402 of this subtitle:\n(1) Is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $5,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or both; and\n(2) Shall lose licensure as a physician assistant under this title.\n(b) (1) In addition to the penalties under subsection (a) of this section, a person who violates § 15–401 of this subtitle may be subject to a civil penalty assessed by a disciplinary panel in an amount not exceeding $5,000.\n(2) In addition to the penalties under paragraph (1) of this subsection, a person who violates § 15–309 of this title may be subject to a civil penalty assessed by a disciplinary panel in an amount not exceeding $100.\n(3) The Board shall pay any civil penalty collected under this subsection into the Board of Physicians Fund.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=15-403","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"05453a5aa5fad3df7fa0adba430c650844c1ab08b1faa9ab6b2cc4e32d7bc9ae","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-15-402.1","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-15-501"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
