Code, Health Occupations § 17–305","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board shall waive the requirements for licensure for an applicant to practice clinical alcohol and drug counseling if the applicant:\n(1) Holds a license as a clinical alcohol and drug counselor in another state, territory, or jurisdiction that is equivalent to the license the applicant is applying for under this subtitle;\n(2) Submits an application to the Board on a form that the Board requires;\n(3) Pays to the Board an application fee set by the Board; and\n(4) Satisfies any other educational and experience requirements established by the Board.\n(b) The Board may waive educational and experience requirements established under subsection (a)(4) of this section:\n(1) Under circumstances determined by the Board; and\n(2) For applicants who petition the Board for waiver.\n(c) The Board shall adopt regulations to implement this section.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=17-305","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"d6f519b332bc6821ba2469965f99700e56e56d44cabb7154946298baee1406ad","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-17-304.2","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-17-306"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
