Code, Health Occupations § 2–204","heading":"","body":"(a) A majority of the members currently serving on the Board, with at least 1 audiologist, hearing aid dispenser, speech–language pathologist, and music therapist regulated under the provisions of this title being present, is a quorum to do business.\n(b) The Board shall meet at least once a year, at the times and places that it determines.\n(c) In accordance with the budget of the Board, each member of the Board is entitled to:\n(1) Compensation, at a rate determined by the Board, for each day on which the member is engaged in the duties of the member’s office; and\n(2) Reimbursement for expenses at a rate determined by the Board.\n(d) The Board may employ a staff in accordance with the budget of the Board.\n(e) The Board shall appoint an executive director who:\n(1) Shall serve at the pleasure of the Board;\n(2) Is the executive officer of the Board; and\n(3) Has the powers and duties assigned by the Board.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=2-204","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"51e54ea06c4e89439e6adafc2d1bf0d62a68c43532737285432dace0f0cc4880","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-2-203","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-2-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
