Code, Health Occupations § 20–302","heading":"","body":"(a) To qualify for a certificate as a program administrator, an applicant shall be an individual who meets the requirements of this section.\n(b) The applicant shall be of good moral character.\n(c) The applicant shall have completed:\n(1) A State and national criminal history records check; and\n(2) Unless waived by the Board under § 20–303(d) of this subtitle, a child protective services background clearance.\n(d) The applicant shall be at least 21 years old.\n(e) The applicant shall have:\n(1) (i) A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; and\n(ii) At least 4 years experience in the human service field with at least 3 years in a supervisory or administrative capacity; or\n(2) (i) A master’s degree from an accredited college or university; and\n(ii) At least 2 years experience in the human service field with at least 1 year in a supervisory or administrative capacity.\n(f) Except as otherwise provided in this title, the applicant shall pass an examination given by the Board under this subtitle.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=20-302","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"827e8b606d5ab801aff1977d357c0543b4f2a2d89482c0bf096d088c671e4c9f","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-20-301","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-20-302.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
