Code, Health Occupations § 21–204","heading":"","body":"(a) A majority of the appointed members of the Board is a quorum to do business.\n(b) The Board shall meet at least twice a year, at the times and places that the Board determines.\n(c) A member of the Board:\n(1) May receive compensation as provided in the State budget; and\n(2) Is entitled to reimbursement for expenses under the Standard State Travel Regulations, as provided in the State budget.\n(d) The Board may employ a staff in accordance with the budget of the Board.\n(e) (1) The Board shall appoint an executive director.\n(2) The executive director shall:\n(i) Serve at the pleasure of the Board;\n(ii) Act as the executive officer of the Board; and\n(iii) Carry out the powers and duties assigned by the Board.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=21-204","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"92dec6bb3f061a2621e2b478bed1772c7595fd24b917127308b52f6c1353e9bf","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-21-203","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-21-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
