Code, Health Occupations § 21–305","heading":"","body":"The Board shall adopt regulations that include:\n(1) (i) The establishment of an environmental health specialist–in–training program for applicants to obtain the necessary experience to qualify to take the examination; and\n(ii) A condition that a person may not participate in an environmental health specialist–in–training program for more than 3 years, unless granted an extension by the Board;\n(2) (i) The establishment of a seasonal environmental health specialist–in–training program for individuals to be temporarily employed as environmental health specialists; and\n(ii) A condition that an individual may not participate in a seasonal environmental health specialist–in–training program for more than 6 months within a consecutive 12–month period; and\n(3) (i) The requirements for Board approval of an apprenticeship; and\n(ii) The minimum and maximum duration of an apprenticeship.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=21-305","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"d2994323fe6fde7f8085354d3ec27710db87eb5ebdfde8c1725752d10bfc4234","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-21-304","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-21-306"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
