Code, Health Occupations § 3–305.1","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board may grant a temporary license to an individual who meets the requirements of this section.\n(b) To qualify for a temporary license, an applicant shall:\n(1) Submit an application provided by the Board;\n(2) Have graduated from an accredited chiropractic program of study;\n(3) Have begun the process of applying to the Board for a license to practice chiropractic, but not met requirements to qualify for a license;\n(4) (i) Have been licensed in another state for at least 2 years preceding the application in the State; or\n(ii) Have graduated from an accredited chiropractic program of study within 6 months preceding the application in the State;\n(5) Have submitted written, verified evidence that the applicant has submitted a criminal history records check in accordance with § 3–302.1 of this subtitle;\n(6) Agree to practice under the direct supervision of a Board–approved supervisor who is a licensed chiropractor while the temporary license is in effect; and\n(7) Pay the temporary license fee set by the Board.\n(c) The applicant shall be of good moral character.\n(d) (1) Unless the Board suspends or revokes a temporary license, each temporary license expires 6 months after the date of issue.\n(2) (i) Subject to subparagraph (ii) of this paragraph, a temporary license may be extended every 90 days.\n(ii) The total length of renewal may not exceed 12 months from the date the original temporary license was issued.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=3-305.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"d1317e82708ecd638d7bef97185cc2c29030580b31a30866d0bf57d9ae3bd516","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-3-305","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-3-306"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
