Code, Health Occupations § 4–311.1","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board shall reinstate an expanded function dental assistant certificate that is expired only if the holder:\n(1) Subject to subsection (b) of this section, has completed the continuing education requirements set by rule and regulation of the Board;\n(2) Has submitted a renewal application to the Board before the deadline set by the Board; and\n(3) Pays to the Board a renewal fee set by the Board.\n(b) The Board shall adopt regulations requiring continuing education, including clinical hands–on training, for expanded function dental assistants to be offered by:\n(1) State–based dental professional societies affiliated with national dental organizations; and\n(2) Entities listed in § 4–302.1(e) of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=4-311.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"4709f044b7f18a48be5864f7dcb9f7e38672cc3a14cc1eb298f920b5113fba9f","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-4-311","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-4-312"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
