Code, Health Occupations § 4–317","heading":"","body":"(a) If after a hearing under § 4-318 of this subtitle the Board finds that there are grounds under § 4-315 of this subtitle to suspend or revoke a general license to practice dentistry, a limited license to practice dentistry, or a teacher’s license to practice dentistry, or to reprimand a licensed dentist, the Board may impose a penalty not exceeding $5,000:\n(1) Instead of suspending the license; or\n(2) In addition to suspending or revoking the license or reprimanding the licensee.\n(b) The Board shall pay any penalty collected under this section into the General Fund of this State.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=4-317","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"93c271365130b955a9ed8eb1945f1df8ac7fca63f9db697406dd85778bdda226","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-4-316","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-4-318"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
