Code, Health Occupations § 4–402","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as otherwise provided in this subtitle, a person other than a licensed dentist may not do dental laboratory work unless the person:\n(1) Works under a work authorization that meets the requirements of § 4-403 of this subtitle; and\n(2) Uses casts or models made from impressions taken by a licensed dentist.\n(b) The requirements of this subtitle that relate to work authorizations do not apply to:\n(1) A dental laboratory on the premises of a dental office that is used only by the licensed dentists practicing in the office; or\n(2) A dental student, dental technician, or student dental technician while doing dental laboratory work at the educational institution, hospital, or clinic with which the individual is associated.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=4-402","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"9bad9708e6ce5a3cf174199b481e00e3a3f52ae928cb5348f7ae8553f7ec61bd","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-4-401","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-4-403"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
