Code, Health Occupations § 7–321","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board shall place a licensee on inactive status if the licensee submits to the Board:\n(1) An application for inactive status on the form required by the Board; and\n(2) Pays the inactive status fee set by the Board.\n(b) A licensee on inactive status may reactivate the license at any time if the licensee:\n(1) Complies with the continuing education requirements in effect for the year in which the licensee seeks to reactivate the license;\n(2) Has not practiced mortuary science in the State while on an inactive status; and\n(3) Pays the reactivation fee set by the Board.\n(c) If a license is inactive for more than 5 years, the licensee shall take and pass the Maryland Morticians Law Examination administered by the Board.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=7-321","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"5c73f5e884838424522f09c7e31ca330bbf845983d3b053460aa09431ca87f63","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-7-320","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-7-401"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
