Code, Health Occupations § 8–510","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board may conduct a demonstration study to evaluate a proposed change to regulations regarding nursing practices or the activities of nursing assistants, dialysis technicians, or medication technicians in a practice setting.\n(b) A demonstration study enables the Board, in a controlled practice setting, to determine:\n(1) The safety of the proposed practice or activity; and\n(2) The appropriate education or training requirements for a proposed practice or activity.\n(c) (1) The Board shall:\n(i) Approve the demonstration study design; and\n(ii) Select the testing facilities.\n(2) The Board may waive selected nursing practice requirements during a demonstration study.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=8-510","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"7c69b75085df000a5aad20ec3985e12a75d462139d983576bf4ad7f3540b7195","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-8-509","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-8-511"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
