Code, Health Occupations § 8–6B–11","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to the provisions of this section, the Board may issue a license by endorsement and waive the examination requirement of this subtitle for an individual who is licensed to practice electrology in another state.\n(b) The Board may issue a license by endorsement under this section only if the applicant:\n(1) Pays the license fee required by the Board; and\n(2) Provides adequate evidence that the applicant:\n(i) Meets the qualifications otherwise required by this subtitle;\n(ii) Became licensed in the other state after passing in that state, or any other state, an examination that is substantially equivalent to an examination approved by the Board; and\n(iii) Became licensed in the other state after meeting requirements that are substantially equivalent to the requirements of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=8-6B-11","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"86879cb5f1953d032c32de0595388f257213c6bbd606d4ccd02cb9191de9d389","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-8-6b-10","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-8-6b-12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
