Code, Health Occupations § 8–6B–20","heading":"","body":"(a) If after a hearing under § 8-6B-19 of this subtitle the Board finds that there are grounds under that section to suspend or revoke a license, the Board may impose a penalty not exceeding $5,000:\n(1) Instead of suspending the license; or\n(2) In addition to suspending or revoking the license.\n(b) The Board shall adopt rules and regulations to set standards for the imposition of penalties under this section.\n(c) The Board shall pay a penalty collected under this section into the General Fund of the State.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=8-6B-20","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"2ef0c3b31813f5b5896858c7defae44460b0e8aeeb6a4120ecb5a8232bd9fc9f","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-8-6b-19","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-8-6b-21"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
