Code, Health Occupations § 8–705","heading":"","body":"(a) An individual may not practice registered nursing or advanced practice registered nursing under color of any diploma, license, certification, or record that is:\n(1) Illegally or fraudulently obtained; or\n(2) Signed or issued unlawfully or by fraudulent representation.\n(b) An individual may not practice licensed practical nursing under color of any diploma, license, or record that is:\n(1) Illegally or fraudulently obtained; or\n(2) Signed or issued unlawfully or by fraudulent representation.\n(c) An individual may not practice as a nursing assistant under color of any diploma, license, record, or certificate that is:\n(1) Illegally or fraudulently obtained; or\n(2) Signed or issued unlawfully or by fraudulent representation.\n(d) An individual may not practice as a certified medication technician under color of any diploma, license, record, or certificate that is:\n(1) Illegally or fraudulently obtained; or\n(2) Signed or issued unlawfully or by fraudulent representation.\n(e) An individual may not practice as a certified medicine aide under color of any diploma, license, record, or certificate that is:\n(1) Illegally or fraudulently obtained; or\n(2) Signed or issued unlawfully or by fraudulent representation.\n(f) An individual may not practice as a certified dialysis technician under color of any diploma, license, record, or certificate that is:\n(1) Illegally or fraudulently obtained; or\n(2) Signed or issued unlawfully or by fraudulent representation.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=8-705","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"7bc42611524c6bb1f81d4e20e5c0b2cb38a6b35990ff3532c01f5b7d924bdbfa","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-8-704","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-8-706"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
