Code, Health Occupations § 8–708","heading":"","body":"(a) An action may be maintained in the name of the State or the Board to enjoin conduct:\n(1) Prohibited under §§ 8–701 through 8–706 of this subtitle; or\n(2) That is grounds for disciplinary action under § 8–316, § 8–6A–10, § 8–6B–18, or § 8–6D–10 of this title.\n(b) An action under this section may be brought by:\n(1) The Board, in its own name;\n(2) The Attorney General, in the name of the State; or\n(3) A State’s Attorney, in the name of the State.\n(c) An action under this section shall be brought in the county where the defendant:\n(1) Resides; or\n(2) Engaged in the acts sought to be enjoined.","path":["Article - Health Occupations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gho\u0026section=8-708","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:58:58Z","sha256":"4e15e00de16827b5cb9f09753bc4b54f73b7e32675fe2c427c9ef5f9c41bff66","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-8-707","next":"us-md/md.-code-health-occupations-8-710"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
