Code, Housing and Community Development § 12–701","heading":"","body":"(a) An authority may:\n(1) issue bonds for any of its corporate purposes;\n(2) issue refunding bonds to pay or retire its bonds; and\n(3) issue any kinds of bonds, including bonds on which the principal and interest are payable:\n(i) only from the income and revenues of the housing project financed with the proceeds of the bonds or with these proceeds and a grant from the State or federal government in aid of the housing project;\n(ii) only from the income and revenues of designated housing projects whether or not they were financed wholly or partly with the proceeds of the bonds; or\n(iii) from its revenues generally.\n(b) To secure any of its bonds, an authority may pledge any revenue or mortgage a housing project or other property of the authority.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=12-701","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"860125b5c0ee0423dc864b83c63a9c421b1f6c91d385a732ad280042d93d2c73","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-12-607","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-12-702"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
