Code, Housing and Community Development § 17–105","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) The Prince George’s Authority consists of seven Commissioners nominated by the County Executive and confirmed by the County Council.\n(2) The County Council shall hold a public hearing before voting whether to confirm each nominee.\n(b) (1) The term of a Prince George’s Authority Commissioner is 5 years.\n(2) The terms of Commissioners are staggered as required by the terms of the members serving on October 1, 2006.\n(3) At the end of a term, a Commissioner continues to serve until a successor is appointed and qualifies.\n(4) A Commissioner who is appointed after a term has begun serves only for the rest of that term and until a successor is appointed and qualifies.\n(c) The County Executive may remove a Commissioner with the approval of the County Council of Prince George’s County.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=17-105","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"639aadfa869fb32252ea972a945396169dc775077ff255ce1bd5aaacc73dda2e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-17-104","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-17-106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
