Code, Housing and Community Development § 2–107","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) In the Office of the Secretary, the Secretary shall have assistants, professional consultants, and employees as provided in the State budget.\n(2) The Secretary may designate a staff assistant to be in charge of a particular area of responsibility within the Office of the Secretary.\n(b) In the Office of the Secretary:\n(1) each staff assistant in charge of a particular area of responsibility and each professional consultant serves at the pleasure of the Secretary; and\n(2) except as otherwise provided by law, the Secretary shall appoint and may remove all other employees in accordance with the State Personnel and Pensions Article.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=2-107","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"ba02a87092bedcb5aa1ea487aa04c43288dd591f99aae2990d1d64b3c457cbdb","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-2-106","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-2-108"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
