Code, Housing and Community Development § 4–1001","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Fund” means the Neighborhood Housing Services Fund.\n(c) “Neighborhood corporation” means a neighborhood housing services corporation established in connection with the Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation.\n(d) (1) “Operating budget” means the money necessary to operate a neighborhood corporation, including money to pay:\n(i) administrative, technical, legal, or other expenses; and\n(ii) expenses incurred by an umbrella corporation in operating programs.\n(2) “Operating budget” does not include money allocated to revolving or other loan funds.\n(e) “Program” means a program that a neighborhood corporation establishes and supervises to achieve its goals and to provide services within a specific neighborhood.\n(f) “Umbrella corporation” means a neighborhood corporation that establishes and supervises at least two programs.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=4-1001","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"a3f371a0e0968f7545ca3a3bf68a21c731204b95454e16c41954f2aa61b6195a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-933","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-1002"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
