Code, Housing and Community Development § 4–1601","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Covered county” means:\n(1) a county that has adopted home rule powers under Article XI-F of the Maryland Constitution; or\n(2) Anne Arundel County, Calvert County, Frederick County, Howard County, or Washington County.\n(c) “Family of low or moderate income” means a family or individual that a covered county determines cannot afford a price or rent sufficient to induce private enterprise in the covered county to build enough adequate, safe, and sanitary housing without the assistance of a program.\n(d) “Program” means a residential mortgage program under this subtitle.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=4-1601","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"46dfdaeef3cd4e5da490bc21f1542f59f831b314a59551a4dde126147c3449ba","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-1406","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-1602"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
