Code, Housing and Community Development § 4–2001","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Fund” means the Energy–Efficient Homes Construction Fund.\n(c) “Low–energy home” means a home that achieves a Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Index rating:\n(1) of 50 or lower; or\n(2) as determined by the Department in regulations.\n(d) “Net–zero home” means a home that is designed to produce an amount of energy in 1 year that is equal to the amount of energy that the home uses in 1 year.\n(e) “Program” means the Energy–Efficient Homes Construction Loan Program.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=4-2001","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"45e60fbda7092c0332dff3b77afd2743769d1527c40073743967b7fdb039e085","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-1905","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-2002"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
