Code, Housing and Community Development § 4–225","heading":"","body":"(a) The Administration shall administer a program of financial assistance for:\n(1) community development projects;\n(2) energy conservation projects;\n(3) home improvement projects;\n(4) public purpose projects;\n(5) solar energy projects;\n(6) special housing facilities; and\n(7) business projects.\n(b) The Administration shall provide financial assistance for projects and facilities under this section with money that the Administration can get for them from any source, including:\n(1) payments under federal law;\n(2) bonds or notes issued by the Administration;\n(3) bonds or notes issued by the State; and\n(4) mortgage-backed securities and proceeds of investments in them.\n(c) A loan for a home improvement project having a principal balance exceeding $5,000 shall be secured by a mortgage.\n(d) Subject to an agreement with noteholders or bondholders, the Administration may consent that a loan, loan commitment, or agreement to which the Administration is a party be modified as to:\n(1) the interest rate;\n(2) the time of payments of an installment of principal or interest;\n(3) security; or\n(4) any other term.","path":["Article - Housing and Community Development"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=ghs\u0026section=4-225","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:59:07Z","sha256":"cba3fef007fe5caf37625c5e230a447ca4e18d2304f20ff4e2c8588aabb00c46","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-223","next":"us-md/md.-code-housing-and-community-development-4-226"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
